Hollys Heroes part 5

PART 5:
It was The Outlaws first season match. The Outlaws took this match extremely  serious. They had one problem though. They didn't have any coach to coach the team, so Holly asked her mom if she could be their coach and she wanted to. Anything for her girl! The match would start at 16.00 p.m. The Outlaws where excited to play this match, it was their first season match. Suddenly Johnno, Franco and Emily couldn't play the first set because they had some important things to do instead. Holly, Ralph and Nick decided to help Johnno, Franco and Emily with their things, anything to make the team play together. They played against The Jatz. The Outlaws didn't do their best in the beginning because they got very exhausted. But then they started to help eachother and talk to eachother about how good they really are and how they deserve to win. So finally the Outlaws won the match, all because the great teamwork!

Hollys Heroes part 4

PART 4:
The Outlaws voted about who would be the teams captain. Nick got most votes and that means that he became the Outlaws new captain. Holly and Jacinta just got really close friends when Jacintas dad Mr.Peterson said to Jacinta that he didn't like Holly and The Outlaws and decided that Jacinta couldn't hang with Holly and the Outlaws. Holly had planed her kiwi party for a very long time and then she finally had the party. She invited all of her friends from The Outlaws and Jacinta. Jacinta snuck out of her house to get to the party, and she made it and had a very good time until Jacintas brother told Mr.Peterson that Jacinta had gone out. He went to pick her up from Holly and they both where really mad. Jacinta even decided that she wanted to quit The Rams and help The Outlaws instead.

PART 3:
Holly is doing her best to get her team fit. She trains and coach them to make them as fit as possible, it's really important to be fit if you want to be a winning team. Holly talks to Mr. Petterson about hiring a local so they can train indoor, the only time he has is 6:30 am. She takes the risk even if she knows that is too early. Holly tells her team that the only time they can train in a local is 6:30 am. They got really suprised and that moring noone showed up. Holly got really disappointed. The same day in school Trish and Scubi played a game on Holly, they put a snake in her locker, and Holly hates insects! Trish and Scubi also lied to Ralph and told him that The Rams wanted him back, he got so excited and actually wanted to. He ran to Mr Petterson, the trainer of the Rams and asked him if they actually wanted him back. He didn't know what Ralph was talking about, then it hit Ralph and he understood that is was a prank. Becuase the Outlaws couldn't find a place to train indoor Jacinta came up with an idea. She told to the Outlaws that she organized a schak club in the basketball local just so they could train there. So Hollys team said they where going to play schak but they actually trained basketball indoor, in the basketball local!

Utrustning:
Material: Våg, 100 ml bägare
Kemikalier: Vatten, brustablett

Hypotes: Jag tror att om man väger 50 ml vatten i en bägare med en brustablett väger det lika mycket om som bara vattnet med brustabletten brevid, men det kan troligtvis också väga mindre. När tabletten löst sig in i vattnet tror jag det inte gör någon skillnad eftersom tabletten kommer lösa sig vilket inte gör någon stor viktsskillnad, kanske en liten del.

Utförande: Vi fyllde 50 ml vatten i en bägare och ställde den på en våg med en brustabeltt brevid, vi såg hur mycket det vägde och det var väldigt viktigt att ha bägaren och brustabletten brevid varandra i mitten och att inte röra på bordet. Sedan när vi såg hur mycket det vägde la vi in brustabletten i vattnet och ser så mycket det bubblar.  När det slutat bubbla skriver vi ner resultatet och jämför med vår hypotes.

Resultat: Vikten före med bara 50 ml vatten och en brustablett brevid vägde: 98,29 g. När vi hällde i brustabletten vägde det 98,05 g. En stor skillnad.

Slutsats: Det var en ganska stor skillnad på resultatet med brustabletten brevid vattnet och brustabletten i vattnet. När vi la in brustabletten i vattnet såg vi siffrorna sjunka. Det var för att gasmolekylerna i vattnet steg upp när vi hälde i brustabletten. Och alla gasmolekyler väger och därför  blev vikten lägre. Gasmolekylerna försvann och då delades vikten och det vägde mindre.

Felkällor: När vi utförde denna laboration gjorde vi inga fel, det var mer vårt tänkande som var fel. Vi tänkte inte på att gasmolekylerna räknades som vikt, och när vi då hällde i brustabletten försvann alla gasmolekyler pch då blev sänktes vikten.

Here is my summary about part 2 of Holly's Heroes:

PART 2:

Holly and her friends talked about the game the next day. If they win against the Rams they get to play in the best league. Now the team must get vestes, train hard and get a sub. Holly and Jacinta satt on a Cafe. Holly told Jacinta that she missed New Zealand and to play in the best basketball team. Jacinta told Holly that Nick had burnt down the community hall. After that he left town and came back 2 years later. Johnno helpt Ralph when he trained. Johnno also colored t-shirts to the team. He tried to get shells to Hollys dad. They won the mach against the Rams. Nick was their sub. They called themselves for The Outlaws. 

Holly's Heroes

INTRODUCTION:Holly McKenzis is a teenager who moves from New Zealand to Woolich, Austrlia together with her parents. She loves basketball! In her old team she was a very good player. Now she wants to beacome a member in The Rams, the best basketball team in the area.

PART 1:

Holly woke up in the morning and ate her breakfast with her parents. She went to her new school. She dropped her basketball in the street when a boy (Nick) threw the ball back to her , a teacher came (Mr Pettersson) and drove over the ball with his car. He was angry. Holly wanted to play with the basketball team The Rams. She went to the try-outs. She met Johnny and his sister Emily who sold a t-shirt to her and Jacinta who wrote down the stats during the match. Holly was a little bit cocky to the players in The Rams (Joel, Trish, Scubi, Ralph) and so were they! Holly hit Trish by misstake. Holly didn't get a place in the team. Teacher Mr Peterson didn't like her. Holly got an idea. She wanted to start a own team. At first noone wanted to join her team but finally she succeeded. 

Koppar och mässing

På träslöjden fick vi i uppgift att skriva om två ämnen som vi ska använde i träslöjden. Vi fick ta reda på fakta om koppar och mässing, här är min sammanfattning av vad jag läste:

KOPPAR

Namnet koppar kommer från Cypern från det latinska namnet cuprum, vilket betyder "metallen från Cypern". Anledningen till att man döpte koppar efter Cypern är för att Cypern alltid varit rik på koppar. Man började redan från 6000-talet hitta spår av koppar. Koppar är en sort metall som har en låg smältpunkt och går att forma på alla vis. Koppar var den första metallen människor lärde sig använda eftersom det är så böjbar och har en låg smältpunkt. Man använde ofta koppar för att göra vapen längre bak i tiden. Om man behövde något hårt, t.ex till att göra knivar eller yxor lärde man sig att blanda tenn och koppar till brons. Idag går det inte att leva utan koppar, utan koppar skulle flygplan och bilar stå stilla. Mobiler och datorer skulle inte fungera. Idag använder man koppar till att göra allt möjligt, el, bilar, rörledningar, skogsbruk och fortfarande till att göra olika verktyg. Såhär ser koppar ut:

MÄSSING

Mässing är en legering av koppar och zink. Mässing är gult, tungt och lätt att smälta. Eftersom mässing har en gul glans kan man blanda ihop det med guld. Man började använda mässing på medeltiden i Sverige runt 1500-talet. Man använde mässing till att göra bl.a ljusstakar, idag använder vi det till att göra instrument som trumpet, saxofon och tuba. Eftersom det har en gul glans i sig tillverkar man också saker till att pryda ett föremål. Såhär ser legerad mässing ut:
